    Arapahoe Basin boasts one of the longest ski seasons in North America, opening in November and usually closing in late June. A-Basin also offers the highest skiable terrain in North America with a summit of 13,050 ft. A-Basin is a locals favorite due to the fact that it remains as one of the few areas that tourists don't flock to.

    Editors Note: A-Basin offers some of the best skiing in the state for your dollar. Ticket prices are always reasonable, and the skiing is incredible. For those of you who are qualified, check out Palivacinni the steepest run in North America.
